Drinking matcha green tea is a great way to boost both your body and mind.
This powerhouse drink has many great benefits, which you can read in another article of mine HERE.
So if you decided to give this drink a try, make sure to read along!
To make a perfect cup of matcha green tea, there is a little bit more to it than just hanging a bag in a cup and pouring hot water over it.
There actually is quite an art to it. You can really mess up the taste and quality if you don’t properly prepare your cup of green goodness.
Rather than writing the process out, I believe it’s much easier for you guys to understand how it works by seeing it in a video. So watch and learn!
To show you two sides of the story, I found two great videos for you. One video explains how to prepare matcha green tea the traditional “proper” way with a complete tea set. And the other way explains how you can also make a great cup of matcha green tea without such a set: the easy and convenient way.
Have a look at them both below and then decide which method has your preference:
1. Preparing matcha green tea WITH a tea set:
This video will show you the complete process in the traditional Japanese way. It also explains all the different items in the tea set that you are going to need and why. It’s a great video if you’re a beginner who wants to make this tea the way it’s “supposed” to be made:
2. Preparing matcha green tea WITHOUT a tea set:
The second video will show you how to make a great cup of matcha green tea without all the hassle. It’s a great choice if you like to do things the easy way. Or for instance if you’re travelling and obviously don’t want to bring a whole tea set:
Wrapping up:
That’s really all you need to know to get started with making yourself a lovely cup of matcha green tea!
Which method are you going for: the traditional way with the tea set, or the easy way without a tea set?
After you’ve tried it: I’m also curious what you thought of the taste?
